B.ha is an offshoot of lifestyle brand Daniel Hechter. The boutique carries an exclusive in-house lingerie line, put together by a group of international designers. Each collection is marked by exquisite detailing and crafted styling, with materials handpicked from the finest French fabrics and lace. French fabric is regarded the world over as one of the best types of materials for lingerie. Therefore it is not surprising that French lingerie is often voted as one of the finest lingerie available in the world of fashion. If you consider the iconic images and styles of stars since the 1940s you will notice that French lingerie has been in the spotlight for a long time.
There are four ranges — Sexy Glam, Romance, Essentials, and Swimwear — designed to complement your body shape while being feminine and provocative. You get the ultimate intimate shopping experience here. Each piece of lingerie is stored inside drawers labeled with specific sizes — simply picks the ones that catch your eye and head to the boudoir-like fitting rooms. The rooms are spacious enough to fit another person inside, and you can also choose the mood you want in the room — romance, sexy or glamour —to see how your lingerie looks like in different lighting.
If you can’t decide what to buy, simply park yourself at one of the two cozy lounge areas and take your time to decide on your purchases. If you need assistance or even a cup of cappuccino, just call for the sales concierge! Read the rest of this entry »
Chalone is the place to go for beautiful and sensual lingerie. As the exclusive distributor of many European brands, it offers the finest selection of French, Italian and Romanian lingerie, from makers such as Lejaby, Simone Perele, I.D. Sarrieri, Jolidon, Valery and Aubade.
The boutique is divided into two sections: a brightly lit area displaying everyday basics and problem solvers like loss-back bras, and a more warmly lit section filled with necessities for a night of seduction.
Don’t be stuck on bra size here as each brand has its own unique fit —the elasticity and type of materials used will determine the size you wear.
Chalone’s trained lingerie consultants (aka Chalone’s Angels) do not use a tape measure to determine your size. They’ll tell you that it doesn’t take a woman’s unique body shape into consideration. Instead, they’re trained to assess each customer using their superior product knowledge and fitting expertise. The personalized fitting can take as long as you want, until you’re completely satisfied. Read the rest of this entry »
Blush! Marks a move away from the utilitarian design and function of intimate wear to stylish lingerie made from the finest fabrics. The attraction of the boutique lies in its ability to offer a wide — and sometimes exclusive — range of intimate apparel from the world’s top lingerie houses.
The delectable line-up is practically guaranteed to boost any woman’s confidence, from the sexy and fashion-forward White Laundry, to the detail-driven Princesse Tam Tam, playful Ed Hardy Intimates, sensual Dim and the legendary Italian Parah.
In addition to imported brands, Blush! Has a long tradition and proven track record of producing stylish intimates under its own label. The designs are European-inspired, but the materials, such as French lace and stretchy fabric, are carefully selected to provide the best fit for Asian women. Read the rest of this entry »
Blotchy skin is a common complaint in Asian country. What are the causes?
Cumulative sun damage causes premature aging and pigment formation, this result in sun and age spots. Some people are genetically predisposed to pigmentation like freckles, while melasma ( “the mask of pregnancy”) is due to hormonal changes. Another unique feature of Asian skin is post inflammatory hyperpigmentation in which the skin darkens after injury from, for example, too strong an acid peel. I encounter these conditions daily in my practice.
Some doctor would need to assess with their patient and discuss the possible options and outcomes. Using a good sun-block will definitely prevent worsening of the pigmentation. You can use creams — a good start although the results are slow. I usually use Photo-rejuvenation which involves an energy source either from light or laser to fragment the pigment under the skin without burning the outer skin layer. Hence, there is no reddening, pain or downtime. Read the rest of this entry »
